Illustrated crow framed by a waning crescent moon and stars. Above the crow’s head floats a witch's hat, and held in its talons is a wooden wand topped by a garnet crystal stone.

At Positive Space, therapy is rooted in community, not conformity.

When we went through our rebrand, we wanted a way to represent the diversity of our community of clients and therapists.

To create the Forest Friends, each of our team members worked with illustrator King Freddie to provide input on their design. We are so excited to share these illustrations with you, and most of all, we hope you see glimpses of yourself in them.

The Crow was inspired by Jenny Rajewski Gouin [she/her]

In this blog post, Jenny shares more of the Crow's story and the symbols she wanted included in the illustration:

Crows are magical, mysterious, misunderstood (and villainized throughout history!), and deeply intelligent. It always feels special to see Crows.

This Crow is a witch- they trust their wisdom and knowledge, they access and communicate both seen and unseen. The crow can zoom out when swooping in the wind, and can see the up close and granular. They work together with others, travel and adventure, and flow through the wheel of the year, deeply understanding the expressions of nature.

I wish for my clients to recognize and trust their inner knowing, their intuition and wisdom, their multitude of experiences that have brought them to here and now.

I wish for my clients to know and trust that they hold the answers they seek; that they can find and play with their kind (as I say "your own crew of weirdos are out there!"); and, they are more clever, resourced, capable, and wise than they may think they are!
