Gavin Bejaimal [they/he]
Registered Social Worker
Gavin is:
A Registered Social Worker
Registered to work with clients who live in Ontario
As an Indo-Caribbean, queer, neurodivergent, spiritual, creative human, I draw upon the wisdom of my identities to understand the complexity of you within your social context. Though I often present as a male, I identify as non-binary and gender-fluid, and survival for me has meant compartmentalizing my gender in order to cope with the violence of cis/hetero-normativity and colonialism. My wish through our therapeutic work together is to explore, practice and experience healing from the oppressive and violent forces in our society.

Quick Facts About Gavin
Gavin’s Work & Fees
I support youth (16+) and adults of all identities. I especially enjoy working with people whose experiences live at intersections — particularly within queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities.
Individual Therapy: $120/hr
Relationship Therapy: $160/hr
Queers4Queers Therapy: $60-$80/hr, for ages 16+ and uninsured Queer, BIPOC (prioritizing Black and Indigenous folk). Available spots are limited.
In my personal life, I’m passionate about both listening to and creating music. Joni Mitchell, Utada Hikaru, and composer Ryuichi Sakamoto are some of my biggest influences. My love for music and travel has even taken me to see Joni Mitchell live in Washington and Utada Hikaru in Japan — truly unforgettable experiences.

More about my approach to Therapy
As a queer, Indo-Caribbean, neurodivergent therapist, my work is rooted in decolonial and trauma-informed perspectives. I draw from Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, narrative, and somatic practices, while also welcoming alternative meaning-making tools such as astrology, ritual, tarot, and the creative arts. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, grief, identity exploration, creative and spiritual growth, and inner child work.
My work is guided by the belief that healing involves reconnecting and remembering the parts of ourselves we had to leave behind to survive. I see therapy as a collaborative and imaginative space where all parts of you are invited to have a voice. My practice is especially attuned to experiences of queerness, racialization, neurodivergence, and the search for meaning and love in a changing world. I often weave ritual, storytelling, and reflection into the process — blending the sacred with the practical as we nurture your sense of wholeness. Together, we will attend to what feels fragmented and work towards integrating the emotional, relational, and ancestral threads that shape your sense of identity.
I carry with me over six years of experience in the HIV and mental health sectors, supporting communities through harm reduction, grief, and identity work. I’ve also practiced within hospital oncology settings, offering psychosocial support in Complex Malignant Hematology and Breast Cancer care, and have contributed to equity and inclusion initiatives focused on intersectionality and belonging.
Therapy, to me, is a sacred act of witnessing — of sitting with what aches, what wants to change, and what already knows the way forward. If you feel drawn to work together, I invite you to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation.
